Preparing the Greenhouse For Spring | Homesteading

This old farmhouse needs some serious TLC—in almost every direction. First was fixing the bug issue in the house, next was cleaning out the garden beds and preparing them now it’s time for the greenhouse.

After this project… well let’s just say it’s on to the chicken coop [ nicknamed the poop coop ] you won’t want to miss that video lol

This greenhouse is no exception to the work that needs to be done around here on the new homestead. It was so loaded with so much junk and trash it took me two videos just to clean it! Just to be clear this is stuff left here by the previous owner. No getting mad at me for throwing some of it away! Lol

This greenhouse still needs some work done on it. The structure is sound but I want to do new ground laying and I will admit the pathway I couldn’t see before is cute! I’m really liking the way it’s shaping up and visions of a lush greenhouse keep flooding my mind while I’m in here preparing it for spring.

If you would like to check out part one of the greenhouse cleanup you can here on 3spk >

It took over two garbage cans already with much more to be donated on my next outing or perhaps the people who live around me might have used them. My biggest concern with using some of these pots and planters is introducing disease to the new seeds I plant. I just don’t want to risk it and want to start fresh.

I plan on doing another with a tour of the garden and some of my plans for it come spring so expect that video soon!

I’m seriously so stinkin excited for spring. I’ll finally be able to start seeing the fruits of all of this labor over the last few months since I moved in. Berries, garlic, fruit from the trees and more!

I post a lot of short stories and other things going on at the homestead on my Instagram page if you’re interested: Gubba Homestead Instagram

If you’re into podcast I post a new one on the Gubba Podcast which is available directly on my site: Gubba Podcast as well as Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google podcast and others > https://anchor.fm/gubba-podcast/

Thank you so much for joining me on this new chapter/adventure in my life. I appericate all the support and helpful tips that have come from the hive community as I continue to learn and build this homestead into my dream.

Are those Muck brand boots you are wearing? If so what model are they?

I usually get their Wetland ones (because their soles can take shovel work) but I like how form fitting those ones look and want to look them up.
