I'm aware of some of these things, but how it all works together is beyond me. Building a robust system is not simple.

I will be looking into GPU acceleration of ffmpeg at some point for my personal video editing. I do need a new PC that should be quicker, but that is about the most intensive processing I do. I'm not a gamer. I use kdenlive on Ubuntu for video work.
