What is perseverance?
Before I dig deep and drop my understanding about this word, I would like to say that this is not just a word but actually a reality. We can learn perseverance from snail and other animals.
Perseverance to me simply means act of of enduring or going through a process that is difficult.
It also entails the capacity of an individual to confidently absorb and prevail through challenges which could retard one from moving forward.
Perseverance is the ability to penetrate difficult and turbulence moment with a determined heart of achieving a stated goal.
It also implies commitment, tenacity, determination, persistency despite the obstacles to realise success.
- Perseverance is like a channel or incubation period which leads to success at the end. Between success and starting point is the word I called perseverance.
- One of the major attributes of successful men is what I called perseverance.
- Show me a genius and people who sets records consistently then I will show you a man who persevere.
What makes people not to preserve?
There are thousands of reasons why don't persevere however I will attempt to share few. Kindly read through.
- GREED. Since I have been meditating over this word, I discovered that there reasons that makes people not persevere. GREED makes some people not to endure situations. Greedy people lack patience to navigate through a process therefore they preferred everything to be to their advantage. No affection or love for neighbours rather everything is just self centred. Anything that has no their personal advantage in view, they lack willingness to wait for their time.
- PEER PRESSURE. This is commonly seen amongst young people where they have the mindset fixed on sharp success. There's great pressure of getting rich and amassed things among young people which creates competition between them. In an attempt to become like the next person, the process of time is neglected hence no commitment, no endurance, no tenacity to break through the walls of obstacles to achieve results.
- KNOW YOUR UNIQUENESS. I believe that no two individuals are the same there must be a differential factor. Every human being under the surface of the earth is unique and has a peculiar nature but when it's not discovered you would end up pursuing other people's dreams that the expense of yours. You may be twins or given birth at the same time but there could be variance in arriving at your destinations. What sustains or enables one to achieve goals is perseverance.
When you persevere on your life goal, surely you would arrive successful at your objectives. If you don't know how unique you are, you may be trying to copy to be like another person. - LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF TIME. The law or principles of timing can't be overemphasized to any one that intends to make indelible mark in his or her generation. Every success is time bound, the earlier you understand it the better it enables you buckle up to wait and persevere until you set time arrives.
God's time is the best and in fact the perfect one. Perseverance goes with time because the aftermath of perseverance is always a glory or success or something beautiful.
What are the benefits of perseverance?
I know that if the value or purpose of a thing isn't known, abuse certainly is sure. Does perseverance has any significance in human?
- Perseverance produces good character.
- Perseverance is a litmus test for maturity.
- Perseverance leads to success
- Perseverance is a virtue for anyone who wants to make mark in his generation.
- Perseverance also defines time and arrival in destiny.
- Perseverance requires patience, endurance, commitment etc which produces good leader.
my brief experience.
Whatever I have written and mentioned above, I have gone through most of them while others I am working on them.
Had it been I didn't persevere right from when I was ten years old, I wouldn't have become what I am today. I had some swift opportunities that would made me to loose focus and ran into impatience which I wouldn't have persevere but I said no.
What actually gave me a quantum leap in my academic journey is this same word perseverance.
Hmmm even in blockchain especially hive where I started from the scratch where I didn't receive any delegation from anyone.I had moment where no upvotes and sometimes no one even comments on my post but yet I persevered and the whole process has been interesting. I am getting good results of my labour of perseverance and I know soon I'll climb that apex I'm hoping for.
Don't give up despite the tunnel because perseverance will take you to that place. You're destined to win and the power to preserve is in you.
No matter how the circumstance is, perseverance will help you go through it. Don't stop there persevere to the end.
