Hi guys,
how are you doing today
Today I’ll be sharing with you a new artwork i created recently for another awesome Nigerian Musician of mine using ballpoint and charcoal on paper.
——— ODE TO OMAH LAY ———
In rhythms born where rivers meet the sea,
A voice emerged, both raw and melody.
Omah Lay, with whispered wounds and grace,
Carved verses out of longing, love, and space.
He sings of nights where city lights grow cold,
Of fragile hearts, of stories left untold.
Each beat, a pulse from Port Harcourt’s shore,
A sound that aches, yet leaves us wanting more.
From “Bad Influence” to “Godly”’s rising prayer,
He threads his pain through beats that fill the air.
A storyteller, subtle, smooth, and wise,
With every line, another soul complies.
Oh Omah, crafting sorrow into song,
You make the broken know they still belong.
A quiet storm beneath Afrobeats’ sway,
A poet wrapped in harmony and play.
So here’s to you, whose voice the world now knows,
Whose verses bloom where deepest feeling grows.
May music keep you rising, wild and free
A lighthouse in the sound, eternally.
