Recovery Night Run

I just finished a 5.677km running that lasted about 0hh:26mm:43ss !

Recovery is probably not the right word, as it wasn't that slow, just not at maximum effort the whole way. It was mostly to resume my training after the half marathon race last Sunday. I felt rested more than enough already yesterday, but I was also very lazy and inefficient. So, I waited till today for my first run after the race. And as I was very inefficient during the day also, I once again had to wait late in the day to get running. We had some rain in the morning, but I thought we were done with it. So, when I saw that light sprinkle, I ignored it. That was a mistake because it quickly turned into a real rain shower. I was already out, so I figured I would just keep going. The problem with rain is not only the obvious one of getting soaked, but there's also my glasses. For races, I usually wear contacts, but just for training runs in the neighborhood, I have my glasses, and that doesn't work well with rain. After a bit, I actually took them off, even with my bad vision, it was still better. I'm also not sure my headlamp is waterproof, I think it is. Apparently it didn't die, so it should be good.

No surprise on the route, just the usual well-known streets in the neighborhood. It's easier at night, and I also didn't know how long I would run. Maybe because of the weather, it was one of my rare runs without seeing a single deer, or any other wildlife.

I need to run a few more miles this month if I wan to reach a decent mileage, I am at 80km right now. But next few days could be busy, so unless I run late at night, my next run may not be before Monday. We'll see how it goes, schedule is always very changing.
Till then, keep Exhausting!

Indeed recovery may not be the good word :') This is still way faster than me :') I use to make 7km in more than 45 minutes :')

It's of course all relative to the amount of training. There are some really fast runners here on the Hive.
Have a great week end!
