My theme for Freestyle Collage No. 42 focused on a small boy's fantasy. He envisions an image as he wanders offsite with his family on a camping outing. From the river's edge, he spots a large gull whose gaze is fixated on a female's face over the water. Soon, the image materializes.
Other images float to the surface until the boy is surrounded by magical entities.
In preparing my theme, I wanted to showcase a pure fractal I created in Apophysis 7X, an advanced version of the fractal rendering software. As I moved the transform into place, I knew I would be utilizing this fractal as a female's headpiece.
I located a lovely background for the scene that depicts water near a forest. The image paired well with my pure fractal.

Blending my images was made easier by the use of the design program, Canva. My upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription allowed me to remove the background and colorize some of the images.
The free sourced photo was added first as the background. It did not cover the entire canvas, so I duplicated and reversed the image to fill in the entire canvas.
Next, I added the lovely female face I located at the LMAC's LIL courtesy of the contribution of @eve66.
For the young boy, I located a perfect image of a boy crouching and looking out toward the forest.
My own personal favorite is the pure fractal I created that I used as a hat for the female's face.
Other images, some from the LIL and my own personal inventory of pure fractals I created rounded out the scene after positioning them. I love how the items blended well and added a sense of mystery and magic.
