THE HOMETOWN THAT I DEARLY MISS
As the gentle sea breeze lightly blew my hair
Oh! This is the nostalgic feeling I dearly miss
This wondrous feeling of real and pure bliss
The serene and magnificent soccer fields basked in the morning sun
Yes... just this simple picturesque scenery, indeed, is fun
The quiet and relaxing streets surrounded by trees
Oh please! Let me experience and let time freeze
I truly want to feel the damp grass on my feet
Simply joy... only through this, life can be so sweet
Those lovely pine trees aligned from the distance
Bring color to my somehow dull and plain existence
I dearly miss the unwinding ambience of my favorite cafe
Where I shared fulfilling breakfast with my loved ones; made my day
The soothing aroma of brewed coffee filled the air
It embraced me as I calmly sat on my chair
As I hear the sound of the bells from our enchanting church
I couldn't help it and I try to search
Search for the memories enveloped with nostalgia
Memories with cousins and grandparents named Cayetano and Eulalia
In this place, I want to visit again
To reminisce the laughters; to reminisce even the pain
For this hometown that I dearly love and miss
Will remain in my heart and sealed with a kiss

I hope you enjoyed the poem I made above as well as the pictures I took from my hometown. Well, it's actually my father's hometown, but I have lived there when I was young for a couple of years. I also visited there almost every summer and Christmas vacation during my childhood days.
I don't get a lot of chances to visit my hometown, but whenever I do, I try to savor every moment. Well, the situation has changed, but the place would always have a special part in my heart.
Now that we are in quarantine and I literally haven't set my foot out of our house for around two months, I have this longing to go somewhere which is relaxing and surrounded by nature. And among the places that came to my mind is my hometown. Aside from the place, my grandma, uncles, cousins, nephew and other relatives are there. Although I can talk to them through phone, being able to hug them and talk to them in person is so much better.
Hopefully, when everything settles down, I'd get the chance to visit there again. It won't be that easy because I would need money to do so... but who knows? HIVE might make it possible for me. hahaha
Well, I and my parents are saving up day by day in order to go there this year as well. Hopefully, we could bring joy to everyone there during the Christmas season, just like last year. :)
