Since We Can't Eat Out, Le Parents Made "Max's Chicken" at Home! <3

What's up friends!!! Shei here!

I haven't blogged for almost a week. Well, it's not that I'm busy with work... it's more on, I'm busy with anime (as always). I am currently re-watching all the seasons of MAJOR. It's a baseball anime and one of my faves.

I'll be writing about it on my anime account after I finished writing the third and final part of my "Karasuno Appreciation Post".

Anyway, we are still on lockdown for two months and a half now. I truly miss eating out and I've been craving a lot of dishes from various restaurants I and my parents used to frequent. One of these restaurants is Max's Restaurant.

It's one of the many Filipino restaurants that people enjoy going to. They're especially known for their Max's Chicken" which has quite a long history already. In one of their restaurants here in Cebu, they wrote a short information on their restaurant. I took a picture of it before, so let me show you here.

Max's Sarap-to-the-Bones Fried Chicken as they call it is truly delish. The word sarap means delicious is English. And yes, I agree that their chicken is so tasty that you'd want to eat even the bones (of course you don't but you savour the flavor to its depth).

Now, let me show you the chicken that I've been talking about.

That's a quarter-pound chicken from Max's. The meal comes with white rice and a caramel bar. I miss eating it. Of course, we can easily fry some chicken, but the taste would be pretty different from Max's or from other restaurants. However, a couple weeks ago, my bestie sent us a video which shows how to cook Max's style fried chicken.

I told my parents about it and today, they decided to try it out. The way of cooking has more preparations than the usual fried chicken... and mama had to marinate it longer as well. That way, it'll have sarap-to-the-bones effect. Now, let me show you the fruit of their labor. LOL

DANG! It was super yummy! Although the flavor wasn't 100% the same, probably because of the quality of chicken used, it was still so satisfying. Yep, craving satisfied indeed!

I'm truly lucky to have parents who are pretty good at cooking! I am really lazy to cook, yet I love eating! Today's lunch was awesome! I'm glad that despite the lockdown and the things that's happening around us, there are these simple joys that can make us happy. :)

I'll be working again from tomorrow, but I'll try to write something... that is if I don't get too distracted with my anime during break time. haha

Thanks a bunch for checking this post out! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the chicken my parents cooked earlier. haha

Have a great one, friends! Keep safe always. I hope to see you all again! (^^,)/
