One Sunny Day... We Had Our Back and Side Fence Fixed... (^_^)/

in OCD3 years ago

Hello friends! Shei here. :)
In this post, I'm going to share some pictures when we had our back and side fence fixed. Before that, let me tell you a story. ^^

Last year, we made some improvements at home especially the outdoor kitchen in our front yard as well as the store extension on one side of our house near our store. Basically, we also changed the fence in those two sides because of the planned improvements. Anyway, the back fence and the other side were still sturdy enough.

A year after, several storms and scorching days had past. Our neighbors were trying to cut some tree branches to prevent them from hitting electric lines and stuff. Some branches accidentally fell on our back fence and destroyed it. Being sorry about it, our neighbors temporarily fixed it using the old bamboo and some wood. They just tightened it with some wire and stuff.

Well, we were okay with it since only the fence was damaged and we were actually planning to change it soon... but because of the situation, we had to fix it sooner than expected.

It was one sunny day when my father woke me up earlier than usual because I told him I'd be recording the fence-fixing for my blog. When he did, they already started destroying the back fence and one side fence.

That little guy over there is our neighbor. He wanted to help by cutting some wires they temporarily used to keep the fence from falling last time. He's so adorable, so we just let him be.

These stuff won't go to waste because some of our neighbors were asking for them. They'd either use it for cooking or those that are still quite useful, they'd use them for other things.

This is how the back of our house looks like when it's bare. Just don't mind the hanging rugs, we just washed them. hahah

This one is one the side. There's a small drainage connecting from our bathroom and the kitchen sink. It flows to the main drainage in our area.

Then, they started making the frame to which the bamboo sticks are to be attached.

After doing the whole frame thing, they started placing in the bamboo individually. :) These people were the ones who also took care of our home improvement last time, too. They're really good at their job, so we decided to hire them this time as well.

We are now ready for whatever weather is to come. It'll be rainy season in a couple months, so it's nice to have a sturdier fence. We don't own this house, but we've been renting and improving this place for the past ten years. We won't have really huge changes as we plan to have our own place, but that won't be anytime soon. Hopefully in 5 years time, we can have our own place. ^^

Thanks for checking this post out! Have a great day! (^_^)
