I Became My Mama's Exclusive Hair Stylist Today!!! <3

in OCD4 years ago

Hello friends! Shei here! :)
I hope everyone is doing well and is staying safe in their own homes.

In my country, some regions are allowed to have less strict restrictions these days, though everyone is still encouraged to stay home. In my city, the number of cases is on the rise, so we are still on lockdown just like the last couple of months.

It's already summer months in the Philippines. This means, the weather is very hot and humid. Even at night, the temperature is still at 28 degrees Celsius. It's truly uncomfortable. And because of this, my mama kept complaining about her hair.

Around five years ago, I used to cut my own hair. During that time, I just use a hair razor or a comb with an attached blade in it. That's why it was quite easy to cut my hair by myself.

However, cutting someone else's hair is quite scary. And mama even wanted the hairstyle to be a layered cut. Also, I didn't have my tool anymore aside from papa's pin tail comb and some ordinary scissors.

She assured me that she won't get angry whatever the result is... and that, she just wanted to feel more comfortable in this hot and humid weather. So, I gave in. I decided to take a day off today (well, except for some exclusive class with my Japanese friend in the morning).

After lunch, we started our hair styling session! (LOL)

This is how long mama's hair is. I already divided it into parts using whatever resources available.

I started cutting a baseline in the front part. It will serve as my guide for the shortest part of her hair. And then slowly cut the remaining parts making a total of around three layers.

In this picture, you may now notice the first and second layers. Of course, I needed to make some adjustments from time to time to make it look more natural. And I really struggled with the scissors I was using. xD

And finally, here's the third layer. I still needed more adjustments after this, though.

It still looked long, so mama wanted me to cut more... so, I made adjustments again. And below is the length she wanted.

I tried cutting the tips more afterwards, though. I have to because there were still some longer hair strands. haha And then, for the final reveal.
DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!!!!

Layered Hair style for mama, ACHIEVED! I am so happy because I didn't ruin her hair by cutting it the wrong way. haha Let me show you a comparison photo below.

After I cut her hair, she placed some curlers and used the blower. It actually looks good. hahaha Good job, ME! LOL

I cut my mama's hair inside my room, so yeah, it was quite messy afterwards. However, we placed some cloth on the floor before we started. Let me show you an aftermath.

Goodbye, HAIR!!!!

Actually, I got a reward for cutting mama's hair. In the Philippines, the average haircut price in some known salons is around 200 to 300 Philippine pesos (That's around $4-$6). It's cheaper compared to other countries, of course.

My mama was so satisfied with my service, so she gave me this.

Yaaay! That's around ten bucks. haha Yaaaaay~!!! I still earned despite taking the day off. Well, I'll just buy some snacks/food for us using this. So, everybody is happy!

I posted mama's photos on Facebook and my friends are like, "Shei! Can you cut my hair next?" OMG! Is this a sign? hahaha Nahh! I'm just my mama's exclusive hairstylist. It's still scary to cut other people's hair, but it was fun especially when I somehow succeeded in doing so. ;)

Anyway, I'll end my post here. Thanks a lot for checking this out. What do you think about my mama's new hairstyle? Did I pass the hairstylist exam? Feel free to comment down below.

See you again my lovely friends! UNtil next post! Take care always. (^^,)/
