A Package Fresh From The Land of the Rising Sun <3 [Unboxing my friend's present]

in OCD3 years ago

Hey friends! Shei here...
It's kind of sad because our main internet is still not fixed, so I'm a bit worried about my classes later. My backup internet is capped and I'm not sure if it can survive all my classes tonight, but I really hope it does. It's mainly a wireless type of modem, but since I want to use my desktop PC for my classes, I connected the modem with the usual cable wire and somehow it worked.

The problem is, there's a low pressure area and it has been raining on and off today. I really hope the already not-so-good connection won't worsen. Anyway... just saying!

The main purpose of this blog is to share what my then Japanese student turned otaku friend sent me on my birthday a couple weeks back. She told me she sent me some of her favorite snacks because she wanted me to try them, however, I was extremely surprised when I saw the other stuff she sent.

I took individual or group pictures of these stuff, so let's talk about them one by one. Let's start!

In the morning of my birthday, I received a message from the local post office that a package for me from Japan arrived. I was excited and happy because it coincidentally arrived exactly on my birthday. To be honest, I was quite worried at first because my friend sent it a month before and originally, we were expecting it to arrive a couple weeks at most. So, when I got the message, I also felt relieved. I asked papa to get it from the post office. We had to pick it up from there because there are some tax or payment we had to pay to get it.

When I opened the box, these babies showed up immediately. These are some potato chips. They're actually really good. It's not very salty... the taste was just right! I like it, and so do my parents and friends.

And then when I took out the potato chips, these stuff showed up. It's her birthday present for me. I was kind of shocked and excited at the same time. I wasn't expecting it because she said she only sent some snacks... Do you want to know what inside these are? Check them out below!!!

It's Senku from Dr. Stone!!! One of the reasons why we became close friends was Dr. Stone, so she chose this gift for me. She said she also bought one for herself, but instead of Senku, she has Gen's bag. Ahhh~ if ever we hang out in the future, we're definitely going to do Dr. Stone bag twinning! <3

image.png

Aside from the bag, she also sent me this chibi Senku pouch. Isn't he a cutie??? Ahhh~ I still don't know what to put inside, so now, I'm keeping them somewhere safe. lol Anyway, there's more!

YASS~!!! It's Haikyuu! manga volume 45... MSBY Jackals VS Schweiden Adlers... Haikyuu!! time skip where Kageyama and Hinata went against each other as pro-volleyball players. It's one of my fave volumes, so I'm really happy to receive it from her. I want to collect the other volumes in the future. <3

Those were the fantastic presents she gave me and I am truly grateful for receiving them. Next up, let's see the other snacks she sent me.

I love the sticky notes! Of course, I also like the candies she gave me. The milk one was really delicious. It wasn't very sweet, so you can enjoy the candy without getting tired of its sweetness. As for the honey candy, it was indeed very soothing. Mama and I even placed a candy on out lemon water to make it tastier. haha I still have some candies left... want some? hehe

image.png

From the left we have: (a) Green tea coffee mix, (b) Kimetsu no Yaiba peach flavored gummy and (c) Sakusaku Panda choco biscuit. They were really good, too! I like matcha and coffee, so when they're combined... perfect! The gummy was really fluffy and wasn't sweet, so it was also really nice. As for Sakusaku Panda, I love it~!!! My friend often eats it... when we have a video call, she sometimes open a pack of these. Finally, I could taste it as well. haha

image.png

Finally, here's a letter from her. I love letters and I always try to keep them as long as I can. She's indeed one of the sweetest person I know. She's so thoughtful and kind. She's also crazy like me, so I always enjoy her company. I really hope to spend time with her in person someday, either in the Philippines or in Japan.

That's it for the unboxing blog! Which item did you find interesting? Comment down below. <3 Thanks a lot for checking this post out. Until next time! Jaa ne~!!! <3

OMG! I wish we had some sort of gift exchange on Hive as well like they do on Reddit. I'd love to receive a package with goodies from the other side of the world. 🤤

That would be awesome to do... :) In my package's case, it took a month to arrive, though... but at least it did! hahaha xDD
