3 Air Conditioning Alternatives

Hot summer days can feel the worst when it comes to the heat and humidity that comes with it. While many of us enjoy the luxury of air-conditioning there are more energy efficient and easy alternatives to air-conditioning.

Here are 3 of the top ways to keep cool this summer.

  1. Frozen Damp Towels
Help your skin and your body do the job it's most efficient at. Cooling you off! While sweating is your natural bodies way of cooling itself down with evaporation you can assist it by using a cool wet towel or even better one you froze! Use a small damp towel and form it in the shape of a U and place it in the freezer over night. Drape the down around your neck to quickly cool off.

  2. Open Windows At Night
Even though summer days are hot your nights (depended on where you live) will be rather cool and often with a nice breeze. As long as humidity is down and cooler outside open a few windows and let the air flow through your house and cool it off.

  3. Minimize Using doors and windows during the day
Limit opening and closing doors and windows that lead to the outside. By limiting the outside warm air coming in you can drastically reduce the amount of heat entering your home. If a part of your home is hit heavy with sun consider putting a large cover to put up outside that would shade that part of your home further cutting down on the heat that may enter your home through the walls.

Lay under a hovering drone while submerged in one of those plastic kiddie pool things with ice water. Works like a charm.

I would also suggest several fans to get air flow, along with some ice cream 😀

😂 YES! Ice cream!!!

Yay! 🤗
