Forgotten birthdays
Myself and the lads played online poker together during Covod-19 lockdowns here in Ireland on the occasional Friday night. We would set up a Zoom call and all dial in, play online poker for small money, drink a few beers and exchange stories and have the craic.
Some of those lockdowns were long and there were a good few of them over two years between early 2020 and late 2021. As a result, there were some milestone birthdays and celebrations missed and we got to talking about when it was all over we should try to arrange a trip away somewhere - Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Thailand, Barcelona and Budapest were all mentioned.
Impatience
One of the guys was getting impatient with us deciding on a location, so he went off and booked flights and a Villa in Lanzarote. We started off with nine lads and it's morphed to twelve now and the day has come.
Im fairness he picked a sweet Villa with a private pool and pool table.
