It's my day off but for some reasons, I had quite a busy day. I originally planned to paint in the afternoon, but it turned out I had other tasks to do. Fortunately though, I had the chance to paint in the evening while watching anime. :)
I wanted to use watercolor today and paint another beautiful scenery. I was looking for inspirations online by searching some landscape photos and it made me decide to paint an orange~y sky. :)
I love the sunset especially how the sky looks at such time. I had made one using oil pastel before and it was by the beach, so I decided to change to another location. lol Let's check it out!
Yep... in contrast to the cool and refreshing beach, I painted something which is like a sunset in a savanna... well, minus the land animals. haha
In this artwork, I used watercolor on an A5 watercolor pad. :) Let's now check out the process starting from the preparation of the materials. :)
I then placed some paint on the paper. They're variations of orange and yellow... however, when I mixed them it looked too bright, so I added dark colors like brown and black, so it'll look more like a sunset. Look at the adjusted page below.
It's better and it looks more like a sunset than the brighter version earlier. I also added some silhouette at the bottom so it'll represent some stuff on land... and I added a tree. ^^
And finally, I want to add the setting sun on the other side. :)
And my painting is done! Let me just take out the tapes surrounding it and attach my username and signature below. :)
I am indeed pretty happy with how the artwork came out. I want to see such sunset someday. The last time I saw a really memorable and beautiful sunset was from a few years back and it was from my trip with my bestie. We were at the beach somewhere in the southern part of Cebu that time and the sunset was just amazing. <3
I also like the tree. lol
I believe my tree painting has been improving. haha well, it's just silhouette for now, but I'll try painting more trees next time.
I hope you enjoy my painting for today. :) Until next time! ^^
