A piston is an important mechanical component used in engines. It moves up and down inside a cylinder and helps convert pressure into motion. In this sketch, I focused on capturing the basic structure of the piston, including the piston head, connecting rod, and the circular base.
I used rough strokes and simple shading to give the drawing a raw and technical sketch style. The grid background also helped me keep the proportions balanced while drawing.
Drawing Process
I made this drawing digitally with the Samsung Notes app and my S Pen. My steps were:
Creating a rough outline of the piston shape.
Refining the mechanical parts and edges.
Adding darker strokes to emphasize the structure.
Applying light shading to give depth and texture.
