Beach Life Drawing
Today’s study was all about observing anatomy in motion not just copying what I saw, but understanding and capturing the essence of gesture, form, and light.
I had the opportunity to sketch my friend during a relaxed moment at the beach. It was a spontaneous life drawing session where I focused on conveying her natural posture, the rhythm of her body, and the subtle interaction of light on her form.
Starting with loose, freehand lines, I allowed the gesture to lead the composition. I worked through contour drawing, blocking, and soft shading, paying attention to the balance between structure and flow. This piece reflects not only the model’s relaxed stance but also my growing sensitivity to speed, movement, and expression.
Below are my proof of ownership and stages.
Thanks for stopping by all time and much more appreciate your warm comment and suggestions.
