Normally, I love to capture the mood of the character I'm sketching. I think it helps add beauty to a piece.

Your right. A decade with the pen shows in the control and the way you let the mood breathe, and taht confidence is why the smile owns the room. Definietly keep leaning into that vibe, it makes the scribbles feel alive.
