I couldn’t believe that one of the most iconic (and shocking) Green Lantern and Hal Jordan storylines of the ‘90s was getting an action figure treatment by McFarlane Toys. This is the insane Jordan who razed his fellow lanterns, the Guardians, and Oa itself in his mad grab for ultimate power.
The loss of his hometown Coast City drove him to maim and kill several green lanterns, take their rings, and challenge his masters on their own turf. It was a mind-blowing event that left DC fans speechless, and it heralded the rise of Kyle Rayner as the next Green Lantern of Earth. It also saw the deaths of several major characters. Shocking!
The likeness is not too close, but having this figure is already amazing in itself.

This story got Hal Jordan infected by the Parallax entity, becoming one of the most dangerous villains in the DC Universe. The Parallax figure shown here is also an iconic McFarlane toy.
To get the figure from the courier service at the local mall, I also took the opportunity to do my walking, so today I hit two birds with one stone.
