According to the BBC, Pavel Zavalny, a deputy of the United Russia Party of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, suggested that Russia could accept Bitcoin payments for oil and gas exports. Zavalny used statements that countries that are considered friendly can be allowed to make payments in cryptocurrency or local currencies.
