Airport trauma

My admission came late.
Two weeks acter resumption. I was really grateful it didn’t come later like most of my friends.
I guess God had a way of doing it.
He made me come first so i could come prepare the way for the late comers and be of help to them.

I had a 9am flight, but due to some delays i left Owerri to lagos by 11am and arrives by 12pm.

Some decisions i made at the airport really made me regret.
Some guys met i and my siblings and was suggesting we use another means to transport the luggage to save cost.

Everyone loves saving money, no matter how small. But if i had known it would result in waiting at the airport from 12pm to 5pm, i would have paid through my teeth.

I got to Ikeja airport in lagos and waited for five hours because they were looking for my luggages.
I called the guys in owerri and asked what was going on, they gave me another number to call.

The annoying fact about this was that i was to go to Ogun state that same day.
We planned it so much so that from the airport the driver would pick me up and drive me straight to school.

The driver was frustrated because he planned to also drive back from Ogun state to Lagos that same day. He is a married man and he didn’t like traveling in the night.

But compared to other drivers, he was patient.

The frustrating thing was the call from my mum. It came every ten minutes.
I was hungry and was so nervous to even get something to eat. My phone was running low because was about calling me to glory.

I got pressure from everywhere.

Finally i paid a guy. One of the Airport staff, who then went inside the airport to go get my bags for me.
Was so pissed i had to pay him to do his job.
And also pissed i didn’t think of that earlier.

The driver seemed more relieved than i was as he quickly moved the car from the airport parking lot.
We loaded and the journey begun.

Another battle we had to face was lagos traffic and Ogun state traffic.

I watched this driver take a lot of detours just to get me in school before 9pm.
The journey from lagos to Ogun state normally was around two hours but i knew deep down that it would take us longer because as if it couldn't get worse rain started pouring. 5pm to 7pm is the closing time for most businesses so the road was packed and the traffic jam was too much.

I had a lot of respect for the driver. His ability to maneuver. He knew the road of Lagos and Ogun state at the tip of his fingers.

Though it took us longer.
But it would have been longer if not for the detours he took.
From the start of the journey to the end, it wasn't boring.

I finally arrived in school by 8pm.
I was moved to my hostel and allocated a temporary room because the portals that were to give me my room had closed for the day.

The room i was placed in was a complete mess.
I stayed with this guys.
They were three in the room.

The room was so messy that i had a night devotion because i didn’t want th portals to give me that room the next day.

All the detours we took was just for me to ome stay in a room that would make me sick.
I know i may sound a little judgemental but i could really get sick in a dirty environment.

The guys didn’t seem to care about how the room was.

The next morning, i was told to wait till 9am.
That was the time the portals open for the day.
I was out of the room as soon as it was 9am

One of them asked would you want to stay in that room?

Before he could complete the sentence, i already knew where he was going to. I quickly responded.

"No."

I hate climbing stairs but the room he was walking me to was on the second floor.

When we finally got there, i was the only one in the room.

I was so happy and grateful.

The journey was tiring and stressful.
But the last part was like icing on the cake
