THE UMBRELLA WE SHARED THAT DAY
As I sat alone appreciating the rain
A certain memory escaped my brain
It was the day we foolishly spent
Despite the rain, to the downtown, we went
We walked around sharing an umbrella
Behind us were two of our good fella
Teasing us with their stupid smile
As we continued to walk a few more mile
I reached my hand higher coz' you're so tall
You were grinning the whole time; didn't mind at all
When we took shelter, there you revealed
A bigger umbrella in your bag you concealed
I looked at you with a questioning look
Still grinning, my umbrella, you took
Continued to pace forward, I had no choice
But to follow you; surprised to hear your voice
"It's a rare chance to share an umbrella with you."
My heart skipped a beat, what should I do?
The feelings I patiently kept is finding its way out
I feel the tiny me inside my heart shout
Then the rain finally stopped
On our way home, to a taxi we hopped
Silently screaming while thanking the rain
My memory of you and the umbrella will always remain

The rain earlier today reminded me of the song "Ai Ai Gasa" by TegoMasu. It's one of my favorite love song which talked about two people sharing an umbrella on their way home. While they're nearing home, one of them felt like confessing the feelings he has been keeping for a long time. He was thinking how lovely it would be to stay in the umbrella with the person he likes and not go home.
There are times when we just want time to stop at a certain moment for us to feel it longer. The poem above is similar to that song... who knows? It might actually be one of my experience. lol The rain just made me sentimental... more than that, I'm feeling so lazy but I have to work. haha What should I do? xD Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the poem.
