I will like to appreciate the effort of @galenkp the #weekend-engagement and #theweekend for putting this up for people on the platform to say what they like about their previous celebrations or event they've witness or celebrate and am happy to be part of it.
It is really a privilege to discuss mine because it was the reunion of my friends after we left school and it was fun for us to reunite once again. I have a set friends back then in the higher institution that we always do things together like reading, checking on each other and also go out weekend sometimes to have fun.
After we all graduated from school, everyone had to depart and go to their various homes or state since it was school that joined us together which I believe it was for a reason and am glad to have them as friends with @adedayoolumide who is also part of this platform is among them.
We organized a group on WhatsApp and one of us came up with the idea to name it "clique of gladiators" which is what we are known for because we always check on everyone to know how each other is fairing, which is how a good friend is suppose to do. Since then we've been communicating on WhatsApp since non of us was staying close.
Why the celebration was my favourite
We decided to have a get together since it's been long we all saw each other and the lockdown also was part of it, so we decided to reunite on January 1st this year , to have a little outing once again and we all agreed on the selected venue in Abeokuta, Ogun state in Nigeria.
How it went
We all had a long walk together to visit some places since the venue actually was were we did our schooling. There after we all went to a eatery to have a nice meal to eat, and I tell you it was fun.
The reunion was fun seeing each other once again, the strong bond among us with the love shared among us was something that I will never forget.
We all had a long discussion about school and our past experiences back then it was fun and I really enjoyed my day with them and the get together with my friends was awesome.
