Much has been written about the things that make it possible to be successful on a platform like Hive, but I tend to think with my own mind, and as such, more than anything anyone tells me, I like to see the facts for myself; because I am a faithful believer of the saying that you should not listen so much to what others say, but observe what they do.

The success on Hive

But coincidentally, what I have read (and view it) in many articles by many successful authors here on Hive, have allowed me to come to the same conclusions as them.

It can be written longer, but not more concise than how I am going to capture it below; success in Hive is only possible through four things fundamentally speaking: 1. The effort and perseverance to write useful, valuable and original content every day; 2. Specialization in a content niche; 3. The use of specific communities when posting and 4. The ability to connect with others and achieve engagement.

The truth is that it is truly logical that it be so, but let us better explain the four points mentioned.

1. The effort and perseverance to write useful, valuable and original content every day

It is one of the two keys to success in Hive, because it allows us to achieve a regular audience for what we write. If we write quality content every day, people will begin to notice us and know that every day we write something new and interesting and they will begin to be wishing of interacting with our content regularly.

2. Specializing in a content niche

Specializing in always writing about a topic (whatever it may be), will allow us to obtain an audience interested in that topic we are talking about; which will allow us to retain it and make it possible for said audience to grow more and more over time.

Because those authors who do not specialize in anything, and are experts in talking about all the topics there are (one day they talk about cooking and the next they talk about dinosaurs, and the next they talk about economics), what they do is confuse to their own audience, hence the importance of specializing in a specific type of content and in specific and defined themes.

3. Using specific communities when posting

Because posting in specific communities will make our content visible to a more specialized audience and, therefore, interested in the topics we write about.

We have a basic example of a specific community in the case of LeoFinance: Basically, by posting in the LeoFinance community on Hive (or directly in the app of its platform); our content will be available to a community entirely interested in the crypto and the economic topics.

Now, the only thing about which we must be especially careful in this regard, is that it is essential that our posts are of the central theme of the community in which we are publishing them. There is no more to say about this, because it is logical that if we publish food posts in a community dedicated or interested in economic issues, we will not get engagement and we may even have negative feedback (which we obviously do not want).

So respecting the theme of the communities in which we post our content, everything will be fine.

4. The ability to connect with others and achieve engagement

This point is one of the most logical and important to achieve success in Hive (and any other social platform) and is achieved primarily by genuinely interacting with other authors' content; this basically means reading, voting and commenting on other people's content.

Doing this on a regular basis will allow those people to begin to be interested in the content we write and, in most cases, will make them begin to interact with our content on a regular basis as well.

Putting it all in perspective

The keys to success here at Hive are pretty easy to understand; however, achieving this requires effort and dedication. I myself am currently doing my best to achieve all these parameters that I have mentioned in this post.

Although I still do not comply to the letter with all these keys that I have mentioned in this post, each time I am making progress in this regard. And so I know that one day I will achieve success here at Hive.
