Sacrifices lead to success

Everything that is worthwhile in life and in business will always have its value, its cost, what we must do if we want to obtain it.

Everything requires sacrifice

Sacrifice is the investment we make of something to get something else that we want. For example, if I want to be a lawyer, the sacrifice that obtaining that degree will mean for me will be the study, time, money, effort and dedication that will require me to graduate from that profession.

If I want, for example, to learn to play the guitar, it will require me to buy a guitar, find a teacher, pay the teacher, and attend his classes, that; in addition to the thousands of hours I will have to practice playing the guitar before being able to handle it masterfully. All these things will be the sacrifices that I will have to make if I want to learn to play the guitar.

Another example, suppose I want to buy a car, then, I will have to sacrifice (invest) the amount of money that car costs, in order to get it.

And if I find that I don't have enough money to buy the car I want, I will have two options: 1. Find effective ways to earn enough money to get exactly the car I want; or 2. Adjust to my budget, and with the money I have, buy a car a little below my expectations, but less expensive. In this sense, I believe that the first option is always the best, but everyone is free to decide take any choice. The truth is that both are valid options, because it will depend of the personal circumstances of each person.

Another example, if I want to be rich, should I define exactly how rich I want to be? What is the exact definition of wealth that I have to have? How much do I need in order to feel really rich? 1 million dollars, 2 million dollars? 25 millones de dólares?... How much exactly?

Knowing this, I can then focus on what I need to do to earn the exact amount of money I want to earn. Will I do it through investments? Will I do it through Trading? Will I set up a business that sells food or electronics (or anything else), in the real world?

And I have the money to start my initiatives? If I don't have it, can I ask for a loan from a bank, institution or person to be able to carry out my idea? Or maybe I should work for someone else for a while, in order to get the money I need to get my ideas and investments off the ground?

So seen objectively, sacrifice goes hand in hand with effort, and both are investments we make to get something we long for or want.

The important point to define around our goals

The important point around knowing what exactly we must sacrifice to achieve our goals is, initially, to define exactly what our goals are.

Knowing what we want, it will be easy for us to understand what things we must do (in terms of efforts and sacrifices required) in order to successfully obtain what we want. Knowing this, it will only be a matter of taking action to obtain what you want.

Based on all that has been said, we can affirm that those whose do not obtain their goals (in any area of life), it is because they do one of two mistakes:
1- They do not know initially what the goals they have in mind, and therefore they do not know define what they have to do for it.

OR

2- Knowing what their goals were, and knowing what they needed to do to reach them, they do not take effective action for it. I mean, they do not pass to the action.

This allows us to see that the final stage between the definition of our success goals in life and the achievement of said goals, is to be proactive in that sense.

The important thing is to teach our brains not to see sacrifice as such, but to see it as something good

It is scientifically proven that the human brain perceives sacrifice and effort as something heavy by nature, even when it understands that they are the basis of success in anything we do to reaching what we want.

As sometimes the human brain plays tricks on us, many times we human beings know what we want, but we are afraid of the risks (which can be real or fictitious), or we feel that is to heavy all that we need to do to reaching what we want. And this allows us to realize that emotions affect us in that sense.

The trick here is learning to trick our brains into not perceiving sacrifices as really heavy but as neccesary, light and nice things. And another trick is to teach our brains to differentiate real risks from fictitious ones, and this is achieved through education, constantly preparing ourselves for what we want to achieve.

If our brain learns about rightly discernment, it will not fall into the subjectivities of being afraid about the markets (for example). And if we deceive him so that the burden of sacrifices and efforts that we must make to achieve our goals does not feel so heavy, then we will feel more motivated to achieve what we long for. And what we yearn for can be wealth, health, love, motivation, houses, cars, professional titles, etc. This applies to absolutely any goal that we can set.

My goal is to be successful on Hive

I tell you that one of my real goals right now is to lay the groundwork for me to be successful on the Hive.blog platform. To do this, I have already understood the sacrifices I must make to achieve it.

I have realized, in this sense, that I require perseverance to write daily (or almost daily); I've also realized that I need to interact with other people's content (voting, comment, and reblogging other people's content). And in addition; I will need to make Hive investments in my account.

So in summary, I have realized that what I will require to achieve my goal of success in the medium and long term in Hive will be effort, time, dedication, knowledge, creativity and money. All these things will be the bases, the sacrifices that I will have to make to obtain my goal.

In this sense:

  1. I am doing my best to write a post every day with quality content, interesting, current, related to the field of cryptocurrencies, the economy and personal motivation.

  2. I am doing my best to genuinely engage with content from other authors or users within the platform. Therefore, I vote, comment and reblog daily on the content that I find interesting. And regarding the comments I make, I try to always be meaningful, positive and constructive, alluding to the central theme of the post itself.

  3. I make Power Up whenever I can (in fact, I did a Power Up here on Hive today). Doing Power Up is making an investment in Hive.blog and in our accounts, it means on the one hand increasing our voting power and interaction capacity on the platform, and on the other, it means betting on the Hive.blog platform and on the cryptocurrency Hive and it also means believing in the future of the project. For all that has been said, I will do Power Up whenever possible, because I know that it is one of the fundamental bases of success in Hive.blog in the long term.

To tell the truth, the greatest sacrifice or effort within everything mentioned up to this part, is not everything I have to do; but the fact of I staying constant and motivated, in that sense, to continue doing all these things for as long as necessary until I reach my success goal on Hive.blog.

So, the sacrifices (investment of time, effort, money, dedication, knowledge, etc.) is the way we must go to achieve our goals of success effectively, and therefore, this is the greatest motivation to continue making them. I hope alway to keep all these things so clear on my mind, and never forget them.
