My 4 YEAR ACTIVITY ON THE BLOCKCHAIN
Hello everyone. First, I'm grateful to still be alive and in relatively good health. July 30th was my 4-year anniversary with Hive. To celebrate, I treated myself to an opportunity to participate in another Community project for August: @skatehype.com in its efforts to onboard new members to the blockchain.
Since joining the blockchain on July 30, 2019, then moving to Hive, my focus has been on assisting communities and projects to thrive in any small way my Hive resources allow. My own account has benefited from assisting other communities and projects.
This activity includes:
- supporting Hive members with curation activities
- donations to the @combination for its support of a charity
- 17K delegations to various communities and projects
- purchasing and mining tokens
- helping promote worthy projects; and
- hodling where possible to inspire confidence in the blockchain.
I have encountered numerous aggressive and inventive projects as well as new approaches to enliven Community products.
When I first arrived on the blockchain via invitation from @jongolson at CTP, he helped not only me but all his CTP members acclimate themselves to the platform.
I will never forget entering a contest by @c0ff33a. I recounted how I arrived at the platform and what I expected to receive from it. I won a large delegation from him that helped me for two years on my way to becoming a Minnow. I remember the jubilation I felt at this achievement.
Numerous individuals encouraged my growth and helped me understand (i) the platform; (ii) my role in supporting it, and (iii) how to conduct myself in a professional manner. Learning all the nuances and terms was extremely difficult. I can't name them all, but I'd like to say "THANK YOU" to all my Followers, and apologize in advance for the tags for the curation teams at @ocd, @curie, @qurator, and @ecency, and the specific individuals below who assisted me in my Hive journey:

Now, four years into my Hive journey, I have served as a Moderator for a period of time in two Communities. I've also learned a bit about the important role of witnesses. Information on crypto, defi, diesel pools, airdrops, mining and the importance of staking is invaluable. It's been an adventure where I have enjoyed being a part of the above Communities.
I don't know how much longer I will be online, but for now I'm still enjoying the environment, engaging with other Hive members, and attaining my saving and investing goals as a member of the Saturday Savers Club.

20% interest earned on savings from 7/1 - 7/31: 2.598 HBD
July 1st balance: 179.562
Earning 55.02 HBD for the month of July was derived entirely from my content creation of 7 - 9 posts weekly. Also, earning 20% on my HBD savings (2.598 HBD) is a positive move.
20,000 Hive Power
My activities today powering up 3.280 Hive is part of the Hive Power Up Day for August 1, 2023. Thereafter, I hope to complete the Hive Power Up

Closing in on my goal. As a long-term investor, I've discovered that powering up my Hive account helps in the following ways:
~Greater voting power on content blogs;
~More curation rewards when you vote on other bloggers' posts; and
~More resource credits to perform transactions on the Hive Blockchain.
