Letting your crypto work for you part: part II

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

Last week I decided to try out the Celsius network so that some of my long term investment cryptos would work for me in stead of the other way around. Regardless of the APR, this is always better than just letting it set in your wallet!

First payday

I did stake the following coins on Celsius. ETH, XLM, BCH and a very small part of BTC. I did choose for the first 3 to get the divs in the native coins, while the BTC is paid out in Celsius!

Not a lot have been deposit there. But I did make sure that it was over $600 so that I would get the deposit bonus, which is the equivalent of $50 in BTC. I do believe that this deposit bonus is still valid.

This did result into a mighty payday of $0.32. But like it said this is way better than nothing. Also the coins weren't staked during the full week. So next week should be a higher income.
The BTC I do have there are the ones I did earn by letting the Cryptotabbrowser running. I do have another withdrawal request running there. I will withdraw there as much as possible. The advantage is that there is no withdrawal fee and the withdrawal limit is pretty low. The idea is too move all the BTC earned by faucets to there.

One step further!

Yesterday I did purchase some extra BNB, so that I would have a total stack of 1 BNB. In the old days I would just let them in one of my wallet collecting nothing. This time with the idea of Celsius in my mind, I decided to stack them on Binance. These are locked now for 30 days and will give my an APY of 7.2%. Again not much, but again better than letting them sleep in your wallet.

And yes, I do understand the risk that an exchange or crypto app can get hacked. But I am willing to take that risk.
These are big steps for me and I should have done them much earlier! I was just loosing out on free money!

How are you investing your crypto?

Cheers,
Peter

Once you have taken the first steps into getting passive returns from crypto earnings, it becomes extremely addictive. At least that's what I experiences ever since I started to put more focus on it a year ago. I 'm now starting to cut back on it a bit myself rather having more liquid coins in order to take profit at some point. Once the prices are down and overall sentiment is at an all-time low again, I will start buying and staking pretty much everything again.

Good Luck!

Most of the coins are long term investment, while others are way below their selling target. So better add some small bits and pieces here and there to the portfolio.
And only the BNB at Binance is stuck for 30 days. The others can be withdrawn without consequences.

Hey @costanza, here is a little bit of BEER from @fullcoverbetting for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that you can use BEER at dCity game to **buy dCity NFT cards** to rule the world.

That seems like a really smart move. Even the small amount of interest is better than just leaving it or getting the pithy numbers that you see from traditional banks. I need to dig into the Celsius network a little more and learn about it. Right now I am mostly just doing DeFi stuff like farms and pools.

Well that DEFI stuff and farming pools are not my cup of tea. Don't understand it at all, and don't have the motivation to read into it :(
But like you wrote penny for penny. And better a penny than nothing.

I am slowly starting to learn more about them. I have been burned on a couple of them, but for the most part I am doing well. I just need the prices to recover.

👍Getting burned is probably the best lesson!

Hey @bozz, here is a little bit of BEER from @fullcoverbetting for you. Enjoy it!

Do you want to win SOME BEER together with your friends and draw the BEERKING.

Dear @fullcoverbetting,

Please check the update that we have now on #dcc tag. I came up with a great idea to make the tag useful. So, each post using the tag, should at least share an other post in the end. It could be quoted or in the post itself. So, all those who will use the tag will share others posts and that way we may find more content to reward. I wrote about that here Collaborative curation with DCooperation !. In case you have questions, please ask !

Okay. Will make sure that this is within my posts next time I use the DCC tag!

Amazing decisions

It is true that stacking up in binance regardless of the risk involved with exchange app is far better than letting those tokens sleep in your wallet

I heard you mention crypto browser, can you throw more light on that for me?

Thank you

Cryptotabbrowser is a mining browser.
You so need to install it and when you do have it open it does mine some satoshi.
I do start it up when we do produce too much solar energy.

Oh ok

I'll download it right away

Thanks for the link

Passive returns are great. A bit of beer money trickling in every day.
