I have to admit my confidence has been eroded in Bitcoin recently.

What seems to me to be happening is each time significant new money comes to the market there is a correction at some point where the new money just gets taken to the cleaners. Confidence later returns and it continues its long term trajectory. So hopefully this is manageable correction, but the correction might still not be over and may take a long time to recover.
