RE: How Much Could Splinterlands Land Be Worth?

in LeoFinance3 years ago

I think land could absolutely go for $10k plus at some point. And I'm not talking in 5 years. I'm talking within a year. In many ways, it will be dependent upon what the rest of the crypto markets are doing. If we do indeed ramp up into a mega cycle and BTC goes well into the $100k+ range with ETH and the rest of the alts following suit, it is no longer crazy to see land going for those high numbers as well. For example, say CUB takes off with the introduction of these IDO's and goes to $20. I don't think it's crazy that someone would "pay" 500 CUB for a plot of land. Or if HIVE goes to $10. I think people would still be willing to send 1000 HIVE for land if it turns out to be as popular as it looks like it will be.

It's all relative. While I'd never spend 10,000 HIVE on a PLOT, I very well might spend 1000. Or ETH, as another example. If it goes to $15k like some thing it might, then spending .5 or .7 ETH might not seem so ridiculous. Especially if you've got 100.

Look at the guy who just spent $700k on the Region. 100 Plots of land for $7k each. And that could very well be cheap.

It's one thing to spend $10k during a bear market. It's a whole different animal when everything is worth a ton more than you paid for it.

1000 plots for 700$ each. A region is a 1000 plots or 10 tracts with 100 PLots each.
!PIZZA

Semantics. You say pot-ah-toe, I say potato. What's an extra zero between friends. lol

Thanks for correcting me...
