Against DCC means against HIVE !

I would like to tell a story. About a little token war !

Let me explain. So, I created DCC token to support collaborations in hive. The same about creating @dcooperation community. I just wanted the collaborative content to be rewarded in hive. It will be good to see that rewarded. You may check everything done by our community here : DCC airdrop - Collaborate and earn !. Recently, I'm even working on a movie about hive. You can check that here : The intro of HIVE MOVIE, and we have a contest every week to support tags in hive. Recently we created a collaboration with other hive community as well. You can check what we are doing in #dcc !

So, when I created the token, the price of the token was 1 hive and I let the market decide the price after. I started airdrops, airdroped about 10k tokens and the price went to about $0.03 and that's fair. Because most of those who get the airdrop are holding it. Some sold, and that's ok to do. They got those tokens because they deserved them !

So, recently I didn't have much time to keep the airdrop, but I'm planning to do it when I'll have time. I'll airdrop that to the most active curators in other tribes and to those who are actively using #dcc tag correctly, and even to holders. That's a prehistory and what I'm planning to do. Because I don't have a lot of time, and I'm looking for someone to help me. We have a little team, but we need more people now.

The thing that happened recently is that @bilpcoinbpc created an order with 10 million DCCs for 0.0000001 hive. In my opinion, it's funny. Because first, we have only 1 million in the total supply. I don't know how hive-engine allow that. Maybe @gerber may explain that. I think more than the total supply shouldn't be allowed, that's my opinion, maybe I'm mistaken, I'm new to all this.

So, I think the reason why @bilpcoinbpc did that is because I decided to powerdown BPC token. I think that's a kind of vengeance. But, I think I have the right to do what I want with my money. And I'm already powering up all the BPC rewards in @dcooperation. Because I wrote about that, I will power up all the token rewards there, and we still hold 1653 BPC power there. I'm just tired to deal with so many tokens, that's why I decided to be active only in a few tribes. And I have the full right to do that. I didn't even create a tribe yet, so I'm not competing with you @bilpcoinbpc. I'm just starting this, while I see you having so many tokens because they have the same description, just like ASH and maybe others you have. Of course, we are in a free market, but attacking a new token that's not built yet and that's working just to make hive a better place, is not right to do. That's only my opinion. I'm not trying to create any drama !

I'm glad that we still have holders like @onealfa.leo, @taskmaster4450 and @trostparadox and others. You may check all our holders here : https://hive-engine.rocks/tokens/dcc/richlist

I'm not planning to do the same with BPC token, or any other tokens you created. I know that's a free market, and you can do what ever you want there. But I kindly ask from you Mr.@bilpcoinbpc to cancel that order.

Is it a buy order? If yes, then from what I understand it doesn't hurt (but I could be wrong, I'm not a crypto expert).

I have seen buy offers on exchanges for popular coins for much less than they are worth. In general it's just wishful thinking, but sometimes one gets lucky if a whale dumps. The same goes for those trying to sell at a super high price. In general those offers are never filled either.

But I can see your concern about someone potentially holding so much of the supply. Hopefully if any one person gets a massive amount they will distribute at a fair price.

I hope things work out, and you two will be able to have a long and profitable friendship :)

Yeah, I just worried because the price went to 0. I even had to buy my own token to make it comeback to a better price. Yeah, I think that was a buy order, but we don't even have those 10 million tokens. The total is 1 million and the circulation is only 100k. Asking for 10 million in this case, is at least strange. The total supply is 1 million, how more can be ordered. And if that's possible to be done with any token, so anyone can spend 1 hive to buy a token with 0.0000001 hive to make it go to 0. It's also crazy. I don't know, I'm new to this, DCC is my first token even created and I'm just learning about this all.

I'm learning too, but then we should try to do that for the rest of our lives :) DCC has done and will do a lot of good, keep on doing what you know will make Hive even more awesome :)

Thanks. We will all keep working on that !

Your project is so positive, I don't think anyone here wants to stop it :) You tagged him, so hopefully it will all be worked out soon :)

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate that. ☺

We should encourage each other, that's a huge part of why we are here :)

The problem isn't the BUY offer per se, the 'problem' (for you and for the coin's valuation) is that @scholaris.pob was willing to sell at that price:

image.png

If there had been a higher BUY offer in place when @scholaris.pob sold, then the 'market' price would show higher.

It would appear that @scholaris.pob viewed the tokens as worthless and wanted to get them out of his wallet, so he sold them all at the 'market' rate. You could set up your own BUY order at a higher threshold, to buy tokens back from those you airdropped them to, if you want.

With such low liquidity the 'market' price displayed by Hive-Engine is pretty much a meaningless number.

@scholaris.pob sold with 0.04 hive. That price was there for a long time. I think if the token will be only for tipping, the liquidity is good if you mean by that total supply. And even if I'll create a tribe, the earning from posts will be limited to 1 or 10 dcc. I thought about that idea, I think once @vempromundo wrote about that as well.

Anyway, I'm new to all this. The most interesting that I learned that only for $25 a token could be created with very high market cap, one developer even told me that all tokens will go to 0 for a long time because it's free money. So, maybe even the liquidity will not save the situation for any token created. But, I'm not sure, it's just my conclusion depending on what I know.

He sold 100 at 0.04 (and received 4 HIVE for that transaction) but he also sold 650 at 0.00000001, and received 0.00006 HIVE for that transaction.

By 'liquidity' I am referring to the small number of tokens available to buy or sell. If just one person decides to sell and there is no BUY wall (as was the case when @scholaris.pob decided to sell) then the price will go to zero, if that person is willing to sell at whatever price he/she can get.

I noticed as well another thing. I had there a sell order for 1 hive each. It was 10k when I put it there and it turned to about 9700 or something like that. It was canceled automatically. I don't know if they have limits for orders to stay there, or what exactly happened there. Maybe a bug or something, but that order was there for almost a month or more. So, I've seen others putting orders for 0.8 and 0.9 and they are still there. I told myself, let them sell to enjoy that money. That's why I didn't ask developers about the situation. I don't know if you know something about that or no. Could they cancel orders automatically ?

I believe Hive-Engine puts time limits on BUY and SELL orders (i.e. they automatically expire after a certain amount of time -- I'm not sure how long that is, a couple weeks, I think).

I was granted an airdrop by clixmoney and I appreciated it. I saw value in the token and saw that I could gain some Hive to consolidate to other tokens. Please keep me out of the drama for the sale of 800 DCC I was gifted.

Sorry, I didn't see it as drama. You sold 650 tokens for 0.0006 HIVE and that was the reason for Hive-Engine 'interpreting' the market value as zero. I was just trying to help clixmoney understand that it was that transaction that caused Hive-Engine to assign the value it did, rather than the BUY order itself, and to explain how to keep that from happening again (i.e. by placing his own BUY wall).

I should have not tried to interpret the rationale behind your transaction, sorry.

No worries. I've been try to get ahead of things since the last POB event. No need to apologize.

Can you give me the link to read about that event, please ? I'm a bit away, and I would like to read about that to be aware. Maybe a link, or hint, please ? I will not mention you !

Sure thing. It will take me a bit to dig it up.

It's ok, I get it now. No need for links, it will tag some people, I understand everything from the discord. Thanks. ☺

There is no drama. You have the right to do with your tokens what ever you want. I wasn't talking about you at all in the post. I know that you are the good guy here. ☺
