Well I don't know but I honestly don't really look at those default pages as much. Personally I would say I would prefer it not to track me.
Also is the only way to get BAT off the browser still ETH based? I don't withdraw it because of it.

I don’t know why brave just doesn’t ditch the token model all together and just run their program via the lightning network would be so much easier and they could do a marketplace for ads a lot easier
Thanks for sharing the updates, @bitcoinflood! I get that updates are sometimes necessary but we should be given the option to opt out if we so choose. I just got a new phone recently with a bunch of apps that I have no use for. Some of them I was able to uninstall but there were others that I could only disable. We are paying for these things with a certain amount of storage space on them and these apps take up that space before we can even download what we do want to use. So yes, nothing should be able to be forced down our throats whether they think it will help us or not.
Yep there's a lot of dumb shady things that are always happening in the background where companies use you to make profit while sticking you with some huge bill and for some reason we should be thankful for this?
So true! But then there is the other side of the argument for us as marketers who can make use of that information in our research. So kind of a double edged sword in a way. However anyone who does not desire these updates should still be able to opt out and not have to pay for something for which they did not ask in the first place. Happy Sunday! 😀

I'm just getting to hear about this browser now as I'm used to Chrome Browser, since this browser blocks tracker and ads it seems great to me, I think I will give it a try and know how fast it is.
You'll notice a big difference, faster, more secure and less bloat compared to chrome.
I started using Brave about 3 months ago. I have liked it so far. The fine line comes in when we want the benefits of customization without being tracked. It is hard to have both. We will see how the information is used, will it be just to benefit us?
