The biggest issue with LUNA is that it had absolutely no utility other than as backing for UST and governance (which is of no value unless there is other value).
Hive and HBD are completely different because Hive has many valuable uses and is essential for an increasing number of businesses whose value creation is unrelated to crypto (eg Splinterlands and other gaming, podcasting, blogging etc).
Also LUNA was a centralised foundation with BTC reserves that would be sold in a predictable way when under attack.
Hive is decentralised and holders will not act in a predictable (and thus gameable) way when under attack.
Justin Sun learnt just how dangerous and wealth destroying it is to attack the Hive community. Other potential attackers will be much more wary.
