Orange turmeric that turns yellow

A thorough sprinkle of turmeric powder over some fish or chicken cutlets, add some sea salt all over and fry. That is pretty much what I like to do with turmeric. Even vegetables like carrot and cabbage goes well with turmeric, just a moderate amount will do.

Turmeric, is versatile by nature, known for its healing properties. its yellowness is so defined that you would not have guessed with turmeric.There are powdered ones and live ones. At some point, one might think it looks like a ginger.

I have not been cooking with turmeric this week and therefore no dish to share but this is my cutting board, stained with turmeric from a few weeks ago and cannot be washed off at the moment, maybe some baking soda can help but I do not bother considering it will be stained again later.

Now, we are waiting for 1 or a few to sprout so that we can try to grow some in our balcony gardeb. Maybe I should pass one to my brother and ask him to try growing in his garden. Hmmm.

True @marblely. It is very delicious to cook with this rhizome, but what a good stain it leaves on the hands and on the kitchen utensils. Thanks for bringing your turmeric to the contest.

Thank you @gertu. Sorry for this late reply. It is not easy to keep track of activities here nowadays. Some are not notified. Yes yes, good stain :) I love eating fried fish and chicken with turmeric.
