Just started watching the season 4 of The Witcher on Netflix, so I got my Witcher action figures out and onto the main display on my workdesk. My Geralt figure is a Cavill one, buuut Liam looks similar enough so I don’t see any problem there. 😅
It was then that I found that the Geralt figure was missing his sword. Even after searching high and low on all its possible whereabouts, including the accessories' containers, I could never find it.
Then it dawned on me that at the start of the season, Geralt was already missing his sword, as it was broken in the fight he lost in season 3. And so, despite some hesitation, I decided that I actually like Geralt without his sword. The character borrowed others' swords during the first few episodes, so I figured I might as well lend him some swords not being used in my weapons cache.
Below are some candidates I considered using. I left out the more inappropriate ones, such as katanas, green lantern energy constructs, and the darksaber, among others.
This one in particular seems suitable and fits Geralt's gripping hand quite well.
So there. Geralt doesn't look "naked" anymore.
It seems my toys are coming alive and imitating their show and movie counterparts. I'm just glad that characters in pop culture never really die, especially in the comic universes, so that my figures can live as immortals as well, even if their characters aren't.
Having fun with my toys and being healthy enough to be able to watch shows make me glad to be alive!
