RE: How Many D.buzz Posts are Theoretically Possible?

in STEMGeeks3 years ago

When I first read the title, I thought you were asking the theoretical limit of how many times all users can post on D.Buzz (before some great power prevents them from doing so). 😆

5-minute posting limit? Create a theoretically unlimited number of accounts. 🤔🙂

To answer your question, just imagine trying to create a 280-character password that allows characters from other languages, emojis, and less-used special characters. 🤔

This can be a fun thought experiment to play around with. You suggested an unlimited number of accounts. Each account would have to have enough Hive Power to give it the resource credits to sufficiently keep posting. That would increase network traffic on the blockchain which would then increase the transaction fee of resource credits to make a post.

There is a finite amount of Hive. Some are on exchanges and some are privately owned. Would buying all the Hive from every exchange be enough? It could be like trying to accelerate faster than 99.9999999% the speed of light. Just a fraction of increase requires more energy than is available in the Universe.

Maybe just receiving every possible buzz post would be better by connecting to all possible versions of d.buzz that exist in a multiverse. Storing those posts is an issue since there would be more buzz posts than atoms in the Universe to store them on so so the server would also have to exist in multiple universes.

Wow infinite possibilities huh? 🤔🤔 I'll wait for part two of your post 😉👍🏼

I guess there is enough demand to justify writing a part II for this post. I'll do some research and in about a week or so the second part should be posted.

That would be awesome! 🎉🎉🎉

Believe it or not I have been working on a part 2 of this post. I had a little trouble figuring out technical details but soon I'll be posting a part 2 about how much energy is needed to produce all those buzz posts and about a week after that will be a part 3 on whether or not enough time in the Universe will be available to theoretically generate every buzz post possible.

Wow sounds so geeky 🤓🤓🤓

There is one thing I would like to say:

🤯

I think you brought your thought experiment too far! 😅

Nice! Your comment made me LOL 😂🤣 I do wonder if a simple answer could be arrived at at this point 😉👍🏼

Simple answer: ∞ (infinity)

Infinity is the word to describe an amount that is extremely big to be represented as number. It is not a number; it is an idea. 😀

To infinity and beyond then...
$tan

Thanks for your reply! 🙂

By the way, may I know what is $tan? 🤔
