Intels way into Crypto

Yes, Intel is already in Crypto.
In its true meaning, cryptography.
With TPM chips and waht not.
But now they are going the Proof of Work way on their chips.
At least on one of their chips.

The strategy behind this is clear, there is currently a huge demand on mining curcuits.
But this cannot be met by the short supplies from, for example Bitmain and others on the market.

And Intel is like IBM. No one will complain, if you by Intel.
Chips are more expensive, but they do their work.

Next step could be Ether, etc. chips. Getting onboard more PoW trains.

But lets have a look at this number from Intel.
The chip needs:
54,8 Joule/Terahash

This is double, what Antminers needs:
29,5 Joule/Terahash on Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro

And none of us ever thought, oh, thos mining rigs are very engery efficient.

Will it be a success?
Not in the beginning, but I doubt this will stop Intel.
Or maybe they go the IBM way and never talk about Blockchain again..;)

Anyway, PoW is devils work. Blasting away energy as heat into the atmosphere.
But nothing to stop this "libertarian" way of thinking.
The Me-Generation.
At least PoS has as smaller energy footprint.

But I stop my rant here.
Just struggling with the targeted market for that chip.
And by that contradicting my entry statement.
Your are welcome!;)

Not sure.
Intel may be a disruptor;)
