(Edit) I originally took this proposal as a bare bones just keeping the lights on thing and can support that. After seeing a replie by Peakd stating that it is for a bit more than that, I've changed my mind. All projects need to go to "keeping the lights on" mode only right now...

I don't think you are being realistic. These things take money to run and if a project is conscious of the economic realities to cutback to bare bones when necessary, like now is exactly what we should be expecting of all the projects being funded.
To keep asking for money to bring new features when the economy can't support that would be being irresponsible and Peakd has just shown that they want to be responsible and are thinking about the platform over their own goals and wants.
What should we expect and what can be done right now in the bear market to bring things under control? Exactly what Peakd is asking for in this proposal. Is it realistic for projects to run 100% out of pocket for the builders in the unforeseeable future? Absolutely not, because bills, monthly bills that most adults hate, but know need to be paid.
So,this proposal should be supported by those who use Peakd. If you don't, then maybe you shouldn't care, though Peakd is the #1 frontend, so even those who don't should see the value.
What proposals shouldn't we support? Any and all that keep asking for funding beyond what's necessary to keep things running as is with no new building or if they decide to build, they do that out of their own pocket, for now. They can ask for funding retrospectively if it is warranted, because well, that's already happened, lol.
I hope we support those cutting things down to the bare bones and defund those asking for funding that is currently not critical for the blockchain to run smoothly. That includes hard forks that aren't necessary for our digital security.
