People say "not representative of the facts" when truth has been twisted.
Sometimes it sounds official.
The incomplete story told halfway is not the whole story. One cannot get the whole picture from a screenshot without background. One error is not the synopsis of a whole individual. The result will always incline in the wrong direction when inferences are based on pieces.
Many labels applied to persons in life do not reflect the reality. One defeat develops into the identity. One rumor develops into the reputation.
Even the voice inside your own mind might exaggerate. You once attempt and fall; then, you tell yourself you are not fit. The idea is not reflective of the facts. The reality is you did attempt. The reality is you learned something. Growth rarely occurs in one clean move; in reality.
Patience is needed of facts. They need complete inspection. To own when we were mistaken, they need humility.
Before you respond, pause. Before you pass judgment, inquire. Before you punish yourself, amass all the facts.
Truth is unwavering. Distortion disappears.
Make certain the narrative you think about others and yourself is truly descriptive of the facts.
