"Got the receipt" is not always about physical proof; other times it's a statement of truth. It's the undeniable proof, the support when questions about memories surface or when uncertainties surface. It's easy in stores; a crumpled slip in a wallet protects against returns. Receipts in life, though, go beyond surface level.

Every word said, every promise made left mark a behind. People believe they can forget some things that happened, but the planet the the records somehow. The records can be saved, memories, or the quiet watchers of time, not necessarily written down.

So, when someone says, "I got the receipt," it's not only about showing that a transaction was made. It has to do with an authority, what matters, and to remind us that once taken, something we did leave something behind.
