A strong word this week's prompt is "despise" for the ZAPFIC Monday challenge. When I think of it, feelings of intense dislike rise within my thoughts. I have learned not to entertain the thoughts of outright hatred for another person. It does no good to dwell in the unpleasant aspect of interpersonal relationships. My solution is to distance myself from the person or situation if an issue can't be resolved. The prompt presented the opportunity to share a story in the 240-word format.
My story is below:
Stacy sat rigid as Gary approached.
As he raised her hand to kiss, his armpits revealed haste. Or was it euphoria?
"Sorry, I'm late. Is the 12th of July set for our wedding?"
She opened her phone to the indecent text.
"The twelfth of Never!"
