When I think of the prompt for today, "knit" I immediately see ladies embroidering beautiful items for their loved ones. The word has expanded to mean items or people who are close together. This meaning can be applied to a way of thinking about an issue or bonding over a common goal. To include family in this definition is a delight to view them as close. I share a ZAPFIC Monday flash fiction that is told in the format of a 240-character challenge. The format was created by @felt.buzz.
My story is below:
Callie visited the site of her parents' accident.
With clamor and signed petition, she entered the hearing.
She sat ramrod, the close knit community cheering.
They led her toward the podium to speak for removal of the unsafe railroad crossing.
