The prompt this week for the ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge is "laser". My association with the word is a personal one, since my spouse underwent laser surgery. No matter how safe a procedure is, there is a risk if one has underlying conditions. Nothing is guaranteed that the procedure will be successful if all goes well during the operation. I share a micro story related to the prompt in the format of a 50-word story created by @felt.buzz.
My story is below:
Sheila couldn't help but notice the awkward silence; the hurried movements.
"Are you scared?"
Feeling vulnerable, Norman turned, and in a slow breath. "Given the risks, wouldn't you be?
Her soft embrace calmed him. "Yes, if I could no longer look upon your handsome face after laser surgery."
They laughed.

El tema de esta semana para el reto de los lunes de ZAPFIC50 es "láser". Mi relación con esta palabra es personal, ya que mi cónyuge fue operada con láser.
