MicroFiction: A 250 word story written using the word prompt "lip".
...The prompt for today "lip" can be approached both literally and figuratively. I've had the occasion to use and experience. A lip is a part of a person's facial feature. Describing it in writing affords one numerous options. However, the word also can describe a person's personality. When used in this context, "lip" means that the person is being flippant or talks excessively to the point of annoying the other person or persons. I share a micro story in the format of 250 words.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized the @daily.prompt's publishing of

Below is my story:
I never met a dramatic situation I didn't love. Thriving on the four "W's", my parents tired of endless questions.
I remember the day that all changed.
About the age of ten. Upon hearing of a commotion on our street, I ran outside to get the inside scope. I had no idea how dangerous an event that was in progress while I stood there trying to assess the situation.
Turning toward the commotion, the last thing I remembered was being picked up from the sidewalk.
My friends told me that they tried to warn me to get out of the way. Apparently, an ongoing disagreement resulted in one of the individuals involved running away in a hurry. He didn't stop after knocking me down on the concrete. I never knew who the person was. Only after hearing the account from friends did I piece together the event.
The incident happened so quickly that I didn't get a chance to see any portion of it. I concluded that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
In the emergency room, I sat there. My parents looked worried. I looked forlorn and scared. Contemplating my plight, I cried while waiting to see the doctor. My parents felt they hadn't protected me.
Feeling as though I had been in boxing match with a swollen face, blood running down my nose, bruises on my hands and face, one broken tooth, a swollen lip , and a massive headache quelled my thirst for drama.

A continuación mi historia.
A veces es mejor no saber
Nunca conocí una situación dramática que no me gustara. Mis padres se cansaron de hacerme preguntas interminables.
Recuerdo el día en que todo cambió.
Alrededor de los diez años. Al oír hablar de un alboroto en nuestra calle, salí corriendo para enterarme desde dentro. No tenía ni idea de lo peligroso que era el suceso mientras me quedaba allí intentando evaluar la situación.
Al girarme hacia la conmoción, lo último que recordaba era que me habían levantado de la acera.
Mis amigos me contaron que intentaron advertirme de que me apartara. Al parecer, un desacuerdo en curso hizo que uno de los implicados huyera a toda prisa. No se detuvo después de derribarme sobre el hormigón. Nunca supe quién era esa persona. Sólo después de escuchar el relato de unos amigos pude reconstruir el suceso.
El incidente ocurrió tan deprisa que no pude ver nada. Llegué a la conclusión de que estaba en el lugar equivocado en el momento equivocado.
Me senté en urgencias. Mis padres parecían preocupados. Yo parecía desamparado y asustado. Contemplando mi difícil situación, lloré mientras esperaba ver al médico. Mis padres sentían que no me habían protegido.
La sensación de haber participado en un combate de boxeo, con la cara hinchada, sangre por la nariz, moratones en las manos y la cara, un diente roto, el labio hinchado y un fuerte dolor de cabeza, calmó mi sed de drama.
