Drabble: A 100 word story written using the word prompt "can you swim".
...When I think of the word swim, I not only think of water activity, but any activity where you're engaged in movement of accomplishing a task. I hope you enjoy my version of the prompt in this new micro-fiction story format by @felt.buzz. It's slightly longer than the usual ZAPFIC50 flash fiction. I still struggle to adhere to the 100-word limit. It does help in forcing me to be precise in my short stories.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized @mariannewest's Freewrite prompt: Day 1983: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: can you swim.
Below is my story:
Friday. The company 's annual marketing conference final day.
"The new guy's proposal's not onscreen?" Jeffrey smirked. His co-workers chimed, "missed deadline?"
Jeffrey turned as Roy's wide smile entered the conference room ahead of Franklin, the Regional Manager.
Jeffrey smugly positioned himself close to Roy. "Can you swim with whales?"
Ignoring all, Franklin motioned toward Roy. "That young man's proposal was outstanding, although his killer aces made my head swim. Let's get this meeting behind us. How refreshing if I don't have to view last year's recycled submissions.
Jeffrey's stomach churned. Damn, if only he could retract his repurposed report.

Cuando pienso en la palabra nadar, no sólo pienso en una actividad acuática, sino en cualquier actividad en la que se está en movimiento para realizar una tarea. Espero que disfrutéis de mi versión de la frase en este nuevo formato de microrrelato de @felt.buzz. Es un poco más largo que la ficción flash habitual de ZAPFIC50. Sigo teniendo problemas para respetar el límite de 100 palabras. Pero me ayuda a ser más preciso en mis relatos cortos.

Viernes. La compañía 's conferencia anual de marketing último día.
"¿La propuesta del nuevo no está en pantalla?" sonrió Jeffrey. Sus compañeros repitieron: "¿Se te ha pasado el plazo?".
Jeffrey se giró cuando la amplia sonrisa de Roy entró en la sala de conferencias por delante de Franklin, el Director Regional.
