Drabble: A 100 word story written using the word prompt "illusion".
...People who are generous with their financial resources, friendly advice, or time given freely are often misunderstood. Their actions are meant to help others and come from a place of genuine love for their family, friends, or mankind. However, some people mistake their actions for other motives. It may just be a longing on the receiving person's part to fulfill a desire or just mistakenly come to an incorrect conclusion. I share a micro story for the prompt "illusion" regarding this concept. The format of my story is a ZAPFIC100. This format was created by @felt.buzz.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized the @daily.prompt's publishing of @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2032. Prompt: illusion.
Below is my story:
Parker glanced furtively over his shoulder, then stood up and accepted the folded note.
He nodded, then smiled at Evelyn thinking of the happy hour he invited her to.
She accepted. Why not, he mused. Two single people. Besides, she was attractive.
"I appreciate the suggestions. I'm not proficient handling difficult customers. The training has been chaotic. I'd hate to quite midstream."
"Please don't. Hang in there. I was once a trainee. You grow a thick skin."
Parker's heart beat faster. He leaned into the table.
"Hi love. Thanks for the invitation?" Evelyn's partner revealed.
Parker sat back, temporarily silenced.

Sólo una mano amiga
Parker miró furtivamente por encima del hombro, luego se levantó y aceptó la nota doblada.
Asintió con la cabeza y sonrió a Evelyn pensando en la hora feliz a la que la había invitado.
Ella aceptó. ¿Por qué no? Dos solteros. Además, era atractiva.
"Agradezco las sugerencias. No soy muy hábil con los clientes difíciles. La formación ha sido caótica. No me gustaría bastante a mitad de camino ".
