A legacy one builds up for future generations is a fortune to the giver as well as the receiver. Many view the word "fortune" to mean different states of being at any given period in a person's life. It's time again for the ZAPFIC Monday challenge. I share a micro-story for the prompt "fortune". This short story format was created by @felt.buzz.
My story is below:
It was her fortune that drew him to the donor's banquet.
It was her shared philanthropic values after their intense meeting that captured his heart.
The gossip column doomed his honorable intentions.
She didn't give him a chance to explain.
