Drabble: A 100 word story written using the word prompt "too hot".
...Usually when one thinks of the word "hot" it indicates a temperature or a quality of being, such as blistering, scorching, or boiling over. Being "too hot" can sometimes mean extremely uncomfortable. Numerous other meanings are given to the term. I share a micro story in the format of a ZAPFIC100 structure. This format was created by @felt.buzz.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized the @daily.prompt's publishing of @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2040. Prompt: too hot.
Below is my story:
The shiny, black vehicle came to a screeching stop. Dark tinted windows rolled down. Thick smoke escaped..
"Get out! You can't handle it. I suggest you seek another line of work."
"The market is too hot right now. I can't touch it. You need to keep it on the down low for a while. Maybe in about six months. Gotta think of your reputation..."
Cockran interrupted. "You came highly recommended for pushing it, not public relations."
I didn't get powerful worrying about "respectability.".
Shana laughed. and shook her head How in the hell did he last this long? she wondered.
