...Often people mistakenly pass judgement on situations they don't readily understand. This can also apply to animals in general or ones kept as pets. Sometimes the solution is a medical problem that may develop quickly and go undetected. You just can't assume without having facts. I share a micro-story that is in the format of a ZAPFIC100. This type of story is told in exactly 100 words. @felt.buzz created this format.
For my theme, I was inspired by and utilized the @daily.prompt's publishing of @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2046. Prompt: not obese.
Below is my story:
"Am not!" Amanda screamed.
"You are too!" Summer retorted.
The yelling intensified. Mr. Peterson quickly dashed to the stairs.
He shouted. "what's going on, Amanda? If you don't behave, you won't be allowed to have another sleepover?"
Taking two stairs at a time, he stood in the middle of best friends.
Amanda sniffled while crying, "Summer said Olive is obese because we stuff her with too much food."
"That's what I heard my mother say." Summer crossed her arms in defiance.
"No,. That's not true, Summer. Olive is sick with a medical condition called Hypothyroidism. Just like a human condition."
