Highlights are the fine details of an event or an occasion. It consists of the most important happenings at that point in time. What I love about highlights is that it has a short duration because it only consists of the most important details.
So basically you get to have almost the same details as the fellow that witnessed the event from the beginning to the end. Although the excitement, tension cannot be the same, so also the unofficial details too. But it is a good deal to get the events in a short detail.
These days, because of my busy schedule I barely have time for football matches these days, but thank God I have highlights that fills me in on the fine details.
Highlights can be so helpful, but it is still good to be present and witness events first hand.
