Expectation usually starts softly, like a seed that's hidden sown in our thoughts. We find ourselves thinking like, "maybe this is the time," or "They must know. " It could be a gentle wish or belief, and once it's rooted, it has influence on how we feel and behave. We look for compassion from those we care about, fairness in life, and progress from our efforts.

However, just because we anticipate something does not mean it will actually occur. It can either excite us or let us down. At times, we hold expectations without any promise, and when things don’t turn out as hoped, we feel wronged.

Yet, expectations makes us move forward. It fuels our ambitions, get us prepared for opportunities, and give us inspiration to envision. Even though it can hurt, we keep return to it, again and again because every expectation have small belief that it's possible something better come.
