What a thrilling and mysterious tale of rivalry for the title of "King of the Dead"! 😂 I thought at first, what's the significance of this title again? Only to read the part of the janitor's intervention being met with a fire bolt! 😬

Luthern and Ruffusz are both funny characters and Luthern's insistence makes me chuckle. The way you build the tension and intrigue is admirable. You make your readers eager for more of this afterlife world and its inhabitants. And the complete image is beautiful and very well depicts your two main characters. Well done! !PIMP !LUV

Hello @kemmyb. Apologies for the late reply. I'm so pleased you liked my short story of the rival dead. Their argument was at best "petty" for two grown men over the title of King. I still don't know what the benefits were. However, they seemed important to them.

Perhaps it was a reprieve from below and a chance to go topside for awhile. And what tasks did they have to complete in order to earn the title" Interesting questions they need to divulge to their readers!

I did enjoy this story, quite humourous. I agree their argument was petty and unbecoming of grown (dead) men! 😄

I hope my characters can resolve their conflict so there can be peace in the Kingdom below.

I hope so too or else the janitor might get a continuous dose of the fire bolts. Hehe.
